NOUN – the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

As I reflect on the last two years, there are many emotions and the recognition of many new

experiences, several of both that I may not feel fondly about. However, I also find myself having gratitude for things that previously I may not have given the time to celebrate or acknowledge.

As a leader there are things we can do to show our gratitude. Be present. Be an active listener. Provide compliments to others. Extend grace and show kindness. Be patient. Be a support system. Help someone you may not know. Volunteer and give back. Apologize and mean it. Extend a smile with eye contact.

Doing these can also provide you with internal happiness, can increase feelings of confidence and provide you with more purpose in your life. And the impact to others is significant so take a moment and reflect and exhibit gratitude.
